“Wonderful location , clean and well maintained”

“Lovely stay, breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and the cooked breakfast was kept nice and hot. We had Room 328 which was very bright and airy with panoramic views, the station, cricket ground and a corner view of the sea. The shower over the bath proved to be tricky in getting the right temperature without being scolded or it turning freezing cold, hence this took about 10/15 mins each day! Bed should be replaced, has probably seen better days as it was very squishy and bouncy,...

“We had a wonderful stay in Room 8 (the Shark Room), which was absolutely lovely. The owner is incredibly friendly and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the seafront and surrounded by plenty of great pubs and cafes.”

“Staff were lovely, location is gorgeous, rooms very outdated and in general the flow of constant tour buses full of elderly travelers made me feel like I was staying in a nursing home. Staff very rigid about breakfast timing and use of breakfast room not alllowed after 10:00am so if you are not an early riser, take note. Lift was also broken for full 4 nights of our stay and we were on the 3rd floor.”
