Vacations Close To St. Ninian's Cathedral

Wasn't sure how we would feel about staying in a virtual hotel, (no on site staff) but really enjoyed our stay, help was only a phone call away and the house staff were very amenable. Pubs and local supermarkets nearby, Edinburgh a 40 minute walk along Leith Way, with plenty of cafes to stop at. Would recommend the cakes/pastries at Toast. (Leith Way). Parking can be expensive, as they encourage using public transport. Outside the hotel it's free from 5.30pm - 8.30am Mon - Fri. Weekends are free. If you don't mind a walk the Ocean Terminal is free parking during the day (until 10.30pm). There is free roadside parking nearby, but places fill up soon. The only downside was not having a safe in the room. Would we stay there again... definitely.

This is a perfect hotel for party lovers who don't plan to sleep. You can hear the music from the parties outside inside the room. The party music lasted like until 2-3 am. The WiFi signal is rather weak, just barely enough for text messaging. Location is perfect for those who enjoy hiking and walking up and down slopes. It's not the hotel's fault, but don't trust google map saying that it only takes 15 minutes to go to the train station. It takes longer if you are not used to hiking.

Fantastic stay! The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast (coffee) was incredible. We loved the location just around the corner from everything. The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area. Would stay here again and highly recommend this property.
