“Arriving is a little dodgy - we got there around noon, and had plans to meet friends. They wouldn't check us in, and told us if we got back after 11PM (when the pub closes) we would be unable to check in. They did hold our bags. This made us have to burn some time until 3PM when they could check us in, so we would have a key to re-enter later. Not super convenient. “The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful. Evening meal was superb. If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again.”
