“A unique hotel. The inside, whilst being modern with all the amenities you would expect and more, still maintains a 'castle' feel. The staff were super friendly and attentive and provided sound advice when asked about the local area. A good choice for breakfast, which was excellent. A really fantastic stay.”

“Room was not clean enough in parts, only enough towels for 1 person and should have been 2, also bath mat missing, mold in corner of shower tray, around extractor fan was dirty also. The beds were comfortable and clean. During our sleep we were constantly being awakened by a external fan relatively close to our bedroom widow and due to the extraordinary hot weather we had to keep our window open but the noise was too much to sleep continously sound, after chatting with the owners in the morning...

“I came in on the late ferry arriving just before midnight, expecting a room key left on the desk; nope, a sweet lady greeted me & carried my suitcase up to my room. Didn’t expect that so late in a small hotel in a small village. Room had everything I needed. They were fine with me leaving my suitcase for a while in the morning while I went for a walk. Very convenient to both the ferry & train station.”

“Lovely modern hotel with friendly staff. We did not have breakfast there as we would not eat enough to cover the £15pp/per day cost. Parking was free at a nearby car park, there is one parking bay outside the hotel to unload your luggage. Housekeeping was the only negative as our toiletries were not replenished every day. Also a shame there was no fridge in the room, but there was tea & coffee & a kettle. Overall a lovely hotel with a lovely bar and restaurant, however there are also more bars...
