“We welcomed the useful car park with my daughter’s pending wedding and ease of access to town. Room was clean but very hot although fan was provided but noisy overnight and didn’t rotate & only one window opened - Despite this and noisy guests in proximity - everything else was good. Breakfast and staff were helpful and especially at breakfast the staff member was pleasant and I noted took time to talk to guests and was very amenable. Thank you for a good stay prior to wedding. 😊”

“Helpful staff & smooth check in. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. The pub itself was good for food competitively priced, which can be ordered thru the app (along with drinks) The drinks we had an issue with - there were drinks on the app that weren’t available at the bar, the glasses had lipstick marks on them so washing is an issue & we were served a Fentiman’s Dandelion & Burdock drink 6 months out of date so stock rotation is a problem here. “This charming hotel is pretty much perfect in every way from location to the friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, food, hotel gardens and cleanliness. Good selection of breakfast, however, an option of croissant/pastries may be worth considering. We stayed in a cosy double room. “Th lobby toilets extremly smelly . The rm cleanliness needs attention i.e dirty skirtings cobwebs in bed rm area and hairs in the bed”

“Lift out of order and as I am not able to walk far was a disadvantage Room far too hot some rooms had a fan but not ours. Bathroom door would not close which needed adjustment”

“A beautiful old building in a great location but it needs a lot of money spending on it. The room was large but extremely dated. Carpet had stains, one of the beds had a castor missing which meant it wasn’t level. The bathroom was very old & the shower had no pressure. The mattresses were old and springy/soft. Could be a wonderful place but sadly not worth the nightly rate for what was supposed to be an executive room.”
