“A hotel you can fully relax in. If you want the hustle and bustle it’s a short taxi ride otherwise very helpful Staff, dinner was great at the cast iron. They even have Guinness on tap. Cheers All round very pleasant stay, the facilities are great though I didn’t use the gym it’s well maintained. The pool section was delightful.”

“Receptionist was welcoming and efficient at checking me in quickly. Room was clean comfortable albeit a little hot even with the window open. There was a fan in the wardrobe to use as well. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. For the price this was a gem of a find in the centre of Peterborough. I’d stay there again”

“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind.
