The place is fantastic, when you arrive, the owner gives you an overall information about the city and its attractions, particularly the restaurants and the Seoraksan National Park. Also, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is made to order, so you choose what you want and it’s freshly made for you and served in your room. The room in which we stayed had both views from the mountains and the sea, it was really great! The owner also went beyond any expectations when he ordered a cab for us and found out it was too small for our luggage and then drove us himself to the bus terminal! We wished we had more time to stay there, it was a splendid finish to our journey to South Korea.

This is the second time for my husband and me from the US to visit this property. We stayed here for one week. This time I brought my relatives to this property. Our three rooms were decorated in different themes, which is fun! One room had a jacuzzi tub that we used after a mountain tour. Another room has a balcony facing Pacific Ocean from a distance. The third room has a Hollywood film theme. The globally traveled host designed the property himself and cared his guests with friendliness and professional graciousness. We liked about the property very much. (1) The spacious and well-bented room has a well equipped kitchnette and a fridge (perfect for an extended stay). (2) The continental breakfast consisted of toasts w/ butter and jam, fresh fruit, yoguht, coffee, fruit juice, eggs, and sausage. A tray of breakfast was brought up to our room every morning. We could enjoy the private breakfast at the balcony. (3) Seorak Sunrise Park at Seorakhang (port) is within a walking distance (less than 1K). We went out to watch the sunrise every morning. We enjoyed fresh sashimi at the port (quieter than other ports). (4) The pension is located within the walking distance from Handomun Cafe (100 m); Seoraksanro Cafe/Bakery (less than 1 K); and Seoraksanro Korean Food restanrant (next to the Seoraksanro Cafe). All great places! (5) We traveled by bus to Sokcho bus terminals, market, and Seorak Mountains. (6) We strolled along the Coast, which is fantastic!

This is my third time after 10 years and place still feels the same! Home cooked breakfast just like how it was before airbnb came about! Lovely owner and his wife-I would highly recommend this place! A bonus is that it is close to both the mountain and sea. And has pretty cafes and delicious restaurants nearby.

This was a nice discovery. Located between Sokcho and Seorak National Park, in a quiet community. Our host greeted us and showed us to our room. Very spacious, with all necessary amenities. He also explained what was around and how to get there. We truly enjoyed staying there, and our host's attentions were beyond any given expectations.

The owner was incredibly generous and hospitable. He gave us a mini orientation of Sokcho when we arrived and keys places of interest. Even printed out recommended restaurants based on your dietary requirements. The location was perfect. In a quiet area that was easy accessible via bus and in between the greater Sokcho town and the Seoraksan Park. It was very serene and the mountains in the backdrop felt magical. The accomodation was everything you would need. It was clean, well stocked and warm in the cold weather. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. The accomodation also had a communal area with tea, coffee, board games, dvds and even badminton. Felt very homely.

Ideal location: best of both worlds.

Great helpful host. Super location between Sokcho and the stunning national park nearby. Easy access to both via nearby bus line, with buses running every 20 minutes. Or via taxi, which is a short ride into town. They have ample free parking on site too. Enjoyed our stay just in the edge of the city, as gave a peaceful and romantic atmosphere to our wonderful trip. Good value for price, we could have afforded a more expensive option but actually preferred to stay somewhere were we could get to know the owner and was more unique than a standard cookie-cutter large hotel.

Quirky and cute decor gave this a fun feeling. The bus to Seoraksan was convenient. (I never found a time schedule but there was never a long wait.)The room was super clean, the host was very kind and had very helpful tips and a map to make my outings easy. I was also travelling solo and he had recommendations for nearby restaurant options appropriate for a single diner. The jacuzzi tub was awesome after a strenuous day hiking. Highly recommend!

My favorite place that I’ve stayed at in my South Korea trip! The owner was super sweet and gave me a map and went through all the things to do when I arrived. The room was very clean and well kept. There was easy access to Seoraksan National Park via bus (they accept T Money card). I took a taxi from Sokcho Bus Termminal and it was only about 7000 won. The owner called a taxi for my return trip (which was about 5000 won). Loved it so much, hope to be back again!
