“Amazing place to stay. First time staying in a B&B having favoured hotel stays in the past and what a nice change in made. From the warm and friendly welcome and throughout the 3 day stay everything met or exceeded our expectations. The room (Burley) at the top of the house was amazing with a roll top bath in the room, the most comfortable of bed and just the ambiance of the house made the experience even better. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were super friendly too.”

“Great communication with host and location excellent.”

“Pros - good location. Short walk into town. Room clean, modern & spacious. Self check in with good clear instruction prior to arrival. Cons - Car park full so had to pay for parking on car park next door. No plates at breakfast only cardboard dishes which made it difficult to butter toast as the bread wouldn't fit in the dish. Would definately stay here again though & just maybe arrive earlier to get a parking space.”

“Moss Grove is a fantastic B&B in the heart of Grasmere. The staff were wonderful—their “we’ll do everything we can for our guests” attitude really made our stay. The hot tub photos seen during booking however, gave us the wrong impression. It’s exclusively for the suite, with no access for other guests. “The Cottage is a pleasant accommodation in Windermere, located not too far from the train and bus station. I enjoyed my stay, however my room had cobwebs which doesn't look good.”

“Cute rooms!”

“It's not a bad place to spend a night or two but is pretty dated and expensive for what you get. For some reason, no bath towels were provided and instead you get four hand towels. There was also only decaf coffee. All this would be fine if it was cheap, but it's not.”

“Lovely property by the river with a spacious room with a balcony overlooking it. Super comfy bed. Modern bathroom with a nice tub, underfloor heating and great L’occitane products. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were super friendly. Parking was available at the property free of charge which was definitely a plus.”

“Compact clean room with small modern separate shower room. Good for one night stay but too small for our two night stay. Bed was wonderfully comfortable with crisp luxurious bedding. Breakfast was good (note this is a chargeable service) and host was welcoming.”
