“Check in supposed to be 4pm and still trying to contact landlord at 4.30pm to gain access. Smoke detector off wall and sat on stairs, leaky radiator with a glass under to catch drips, damaged flooring. Dirty throughout. Not good.”

If, like me, you don’t have a var, it's within walkin distance of supermarket, local tourist bus which goes to all local attractions, including the Abbey. Be aware the loft appartment is up 3 flights of stairs, but once you reach it, it is very quaint and an ideal base. However it does not maintain the high level of ambition of being a high-end holdiay apartment. Blocked gutters are causing a damp shower room, maintenance issues such as boiler constantly cutting out leaving no hot water or heating.
