Vacations Close To Sixth Street and Avenue B Community Garden

The area is good but the hotel is on a busy main road. The corridors are spacious but the hotel rooms are tiny - hardly space to open a suitcase. The floors were sticky and there is an extra fee for daily room cleaning. We were very disappointed and moved hotel after one night. The hotel refused any reimbursement.

The hotel was ok. There could be a few updates, floor in the room was starting to fall apart and needs replaced. Staff was friendly, room clean, and would stay here again.

The Kixby was such a great find. It will likely be our “go to” when we come to NYC again. It is located 1/2 block from Macy’s and easy walking distance from MSG, There is a subway stop just a few steps away from the hotel. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly daily which you do not often see anymore. One of our favorite amenities was the water bottle they provided and the water machines that dispensed still or sparkling water with your choice of several flavors. There was also a coffee, tea, and hot cocoa option for those who prefer hot drinks. There is also a rooftop bar which is closed for the season which made it the ideal spot to drink your morning coffee after picking up a delicious bagel a few blocks away at Liberty Bagel. The Black Tap Burger attached to the hotel has a variety of burger specialties including a cheeseburger salad. We wanted to try the family sized sundae or milkshake but never had enough room after eating. The staff was very kind and attentive. The decor was art deco which is my favorite style. The Kixby pushed our vacation to the next level!

Thanks!

Fantastic as usual! I always stay here!
