Vacations Close To Silvana

Pros: Well situated in midtown, decent views from window, ice/water machines on some floors, helpful bell staff Cons: - Ice/water machines are not on every floor and it can be confusing to determine which floors (there are some signs telling you but those aren't on every floor either). Most rooms don't have fridges so if you need ice to keep something cold, this can be frustrating. Rooms don't have ice buckets either, I asked at the front desk and was given a carboard one, like a popcorn bucket. This will not keep ice cold and is not waterproof. This is ridiculous -- even cheap motels have plastic ice buckets -- and was extremely frustrating. - Rooms are small, like a Tokyo business hotel. Still, comfy enough. - First floor elevators will not take you to hotel rooms, you have to transfer to another elevator on the fourth floor. It's an extra step, some hotels are set up this way so it's not too unusual but can be a hassle. - I was directed to check in to a self-serve kiosk at the first floor but that was useless, I had to go to the front desk to properly check in. What's the point of the kiosk? The front desk usually had a single attendant (and in my case a pretty long line to check in).

Great place to stay, perfect location in Midtown Manhattan!

Clean

The hotel was great and we really loved the location too. We needed a pack and play for our baby and I had reached out 3 time prior to our arrival to make sure one was there for us. When we got there they didn't even know I requested one, and I had to ask 2 times for them to bring it to our room. The room however was spacious, clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Like a dorm room in a building

Everything was great except the mattress was thin. When getting out of bed, I felt the wooden frame. Otherwise, it was great.
