Vacations Close To Sebonack Golf Course

Oh boy where do I start, when I first checked in there were only four people in front of me, the four of us were wet from the storm ,but for some reason it took over 30 minutes to check in , was told the hot water did not work and it’s $100 per night which it did not say on the website and they don’t tell you until you get to the hotel so they were holding 300 dollars of my money and the AC was not working right, there’s no fan in the bathroom so it was pretty much humid in there. upon my stay, there were people slamming doors from the morning till after midnight., housekeepers were talking very loud in the morning, which is unprofessional. The rooms are below basic, overpriced, and dirty.

It was clean, the beds were comfortable. Absolutely loved the shower!

Property is right next to a club or bar and on a main street. It was very loud all night with music, people on the street , horns honking, and police. The room is very small, barely fits the bed but the bed was comfortable. In NY I expect smaller rooms so there is only so much to say about that but the noise from the are and street all night were too much. I would not be able to ever stay their again due to the noise. If you stay here plan on not sleeping. Good stuff to say. It had a great location in the city, the 7th floor roof access has a great view, the bed was comfortable, the water gets very hot but does have low pressure.

Great location...downstairs lobby was in repairs/renovations. Rooms are a bit dated but will be revamped in the near future. Amazing views of Times Square from the 50th floor. Helpfull staff made everything better.

Long time to check in

I wish I could leave a better review because the hotel looks really cool and the lounge area is really nice. However there were just too many things working against it. The first big issue was having to wait an hour just to check in. We arrived around 10:30 pm and the line to check in was wrapped around the lobby. Other people in line said they had come earlier and the line had been just as long so they left and came back, so it wasn't just an issue at that specific time. Once finally checked in we discovered a huge cockroach at the doorway to our room. We complained about that and they did make it right by waiving what fees they could (they were limited in what they could refund since I booked through Hotels.com) and giving free breakfast vouchers for the next day which was nice, but unfortunately it didn't end there. When getting a cup from the bathroom, in between the stack of cups was a wad of chewed gum and hair. Then at 5:30 am when a neighboring room started blasting music and screaming the phone in the room didn't connect to the front desk and we had to go down to the desk to complain. The 2nd night was fine with no problems but the first night was a real turn off.

The location was great. The free breakfast voucher was nice, but if you just wanted coffee before eating breakfast, you were out of luck. We didn't have a coffee maker in our room, so were forced to get breakfast with our morning coffee, or waited until we were ready to leave. Coffee is a basic necessity as we're getting ready to get out and about, before breakfast. Barhroom we're tiny and not easy to maneuver around, even for two not so big, people.
