“Such a lovely overnight stay, we were in the area to attend an evening wedding reception. Very clean, great location & superb breakfast & Michael was so welcoming & helpful with the area & directions. Would recommend.”

“We stayed here last weekend with our in-laws to visit family and the hotel was perfect for what we needed. The staff are really nice, I can only mention by name Jonathan on reception who was very helpful but all the other staff on reception were also lovely as well as the bar staff and chambermaids. We had two rooms just above the discotheque which is open at weekends and the night receptionist told us to expect a bit of noise but to be honest we were so whacked out it wasn't a problem. We...

“We travel from Canada to visit family in the North East every year and have stayed here three times now. It has a great atmosphere and the food is very good. We’re already planning for 2027 and we will be back.”

“Couldn’t fault anything, very welcoming, great room , comfy bed. Excellent breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Great location on the high street, and lots of info on parking, warming out etc. will definitely stay again on a next visit to Tynemouth.”

Breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal. Staff needed chasing up not keeping up replacing side plates, and keeping coffee pots full. Staff were quick to apologise and bring out replacements. We will almost certainly visit again, despite getting a few things wrong the staff were extremely friendly and...

“Great stay at the Metropolitan. Lovely room which had everything you'd need. Breakfast was of an excellent quality.”

“Great place and pleasant staff. Would and will stay again.”

“Great location, with loads of parking in the area and really close to the station (handy to get to Newcastle) and the seaside. The staff was helpful when we had an issue with the check in, and was always responsive to our requests. The room was alright, even though the bed wasn't exactly comfy, and the timed fan in the bathroom wasn't ideal at night. The best thing overall was the cafe, in which we went for all the three days. Hats off! The staff was amazing, and they could accommodate our...

“The premier suite needs the toilet seat fixing and a plumber needs to sort out the drainage as when the bath drains it back up into the shower tray in the bathroom.”

“Solo una pega: camas single en habitación familiar es sofa cama con muelles que clavan. ”
