We stayed the weekend of Valentines day, we saw the hotel restaurant was under construction.(It should be disclosed when booking). We checked into our room and it had not been cleaned which is gross but concerning when they are claiming to be Covid safe. There was used soap in the shower and the bathroom was dirty. The bed looked used and there were hangers hanging on the bathroom door. We reported it to the hotel staff and they apologized and moved us to a nicer suite immediately. The "nicer' room was suppose to be a view of the river but it was a small view of the river but mostly a view was of a parking garage. There were no water bottles in the room or coffee. The smart featured on television in the bedroom did not work so we could only use the television in the living room for Netflix, etc.
There was a significant snowstorm that evening so we couldn't leave the hotel. We went to the dining room for breakfast and they were completely out of food. Understanding they were short staffed because of the snow storm, we were okay eating cold cereal. ALL we had was cold cereal and tea and we were billed the regular breakfast price of $16 each. I am still showing a $34 charge for this even though the hotel said they would refund me this amount since we didn't actually get the regular hot breakfast. We felt that the hotel was ill prepared for any unexpected events and we checked out a day early. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying on the river walk at this price.
