Hotel Valencia Riverwalk - San Antonio Hotels
Rating: 4.0 Stars

Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

150 E Houston St, San Antonio - Map
Hotel was nice. Room was nice. Room was spacious. My complaints: One long counter top that went across most of the room and almost no drawer space. Five foot desk top and a dresser would be much better. Would be nice if it had a refrigerator and maybe a microwave. No place to hang the hand towel in the bathroom. Toilet paper was extremely hard to reach. These are fairly minor things. Overall I was very satisfied.

"Gorgeous historic hotel"
This historic hotel, built in 1906, was moved to its present location in 1985 (it made the Guinness Book of World Records for being the heaviest building moved), and then expanded. My room was in the historic portion. The room was luxurious, and had a set of French doors opening out onto a balcony. What more could I want for a stay during such nice weather! The concierge was very friendly and helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I only wish I had more time to spend here!

"Updated, good location, comfortable for short stay"
Safe downtown location on the quiet part of the Riverwalk - perfect for strolling or a morning run. Older hotel with small rooms, but updated enough to be comfortable if you like a soft bed Many rooms with balconies. Refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, but no decaf. Nice shower with lots of hot water. Prompt and friendly housekeeping staff. In-room remote controlled air conditioner is fairly quiet. Nice, open Lobby and Bar with outside eating/sitting with a view. Complimentary coffee early, and espresso/snack bar available for purchase. Breakfast not included, but available in Lobby for reasonable charge. Several nice meeting rooms with easy access. Pool area looked nice, including the fire pit. Enjoyed seeing the pet Toucan on display. Make sure you understand the daily $20 valet, $16 self parking fees - you can decline and find easy parking nearby.

"overnite stay on Riverwalk"
great location right on the river, easy access and near crossover walking bridge to other side, saw the lighting of the river for Christmas, but all the barricades made it difficult to walk/see the whole river area. The Irish Pub across from our hotel on the river was great, friendly staff, great buffet setup for all, saw the Alamo, it was great weather for strolling and imbibing here and there along the way, lots of fun

"Boutique hotel across from Riverwalk"
Very friendly staff. Nicely appointed room, beautifully tiled bathroom. Many personal touches. Fresh fruit with breakfast, wine in common area in evening. Two drawbacks: 1) Actual hotel rooms are on 3rd floor (no desk downstairs) and 2) there were some vagrants right at the entry to the building, which made coming and going uncomfortable at times.
