Vacations Close To San Anselmo Memorial Park

The price was definitely right, but I wish house keeping cleaned the room at least once while we were there.

We opted for a premier king room. The view was exceptional. The staff was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

This hotel is located in a very central safe place in Fisherman's Wharf where you can walk to just about anything. Breakfast buffet was extraordinary. Warm outdoor pool and spacious rooms. Would highly recommend!

Good stuff-close to everything we wanted to do. There’s a decorative bird statue on our floor that was moved to new spot every day. It was hilarious. The pool table, Jenga blocks and Uno cards were fun. Staff is just ok. I did feel safe in hotel. Security guard made presence known. Free coffee near the bar. Bad stuff-Bathroom sink had a big crack in the bowl, mold on the sink grout, shower kind of dirt stained. No refrigerator (I have meds that need refrigeration), no coffee pot in room, no bell desk, check in kiosk doesn’t really work, I paid $200 extra in fees to stay here besides the actual hotel cost I paid to Expedia. Walls are very thin. I could hear the person showering (and singing) next door. They say they have a pancake breakfast in the elevator but they don’t. It’s just a few things to grab and go (protein shakes, bagels, microwave oatmeal etc.) and it’s for a few of course. The free coffee tastes terrible by the way. Note-born and raised in Las Vegas so my expectations are high plus we had a Disney timeshare for 20 years so we may have gotten used to that amazing service and hospitality. Caza is just a step up from Motel 6. I probably wouldn’t stay here again if I had a choice.

Convenient clean And welcoming

We’ve stayed at the Westin St Francis multiple times over the years and always looked forward to returning. Unfortunately, this once grand old hotel is grand no more. The Powell street lobby entrance has been invaded by a huge bar/lounge that looks cool but doesn’t open until 4pm. It takes up a lot of prime real estate in the hotel and serves no real purpose for the better part of the day. To check into the hotel you now enter on Geary into an area that feels temporary, kind of like the vibe you get at an airport gate under construction. It’s just very disjointed. The fake cherry trees and fake flower wrapped columns in the lobby are tacky, and dusty. Two of my family members had sneezing fits while standing under the faux blooms. They chuckled about the paper flower pollen being particularly bad this time of year. The hotel has also done away with any lobby seating. Your only hope of seating is in the garden cafe, which makes it feel a bit like a Greyhound bus station. Some of the registration staff were better at their jobs than others, who seemed generally malcontent. We stayed in the Tower this trip; the best part was the amazing view from our room and the super fast glass elevators. Happily, the mattresses are wonderful. Our room was ok but could use a refresh. One family member found litter in his room. Thinking back on past stays, maybe the rooms were always a bit outdated but the majesty of the hotel overshadowed any shortcomings. Sadly, for us the magic is gone.
