My wife and I drove five hours to Key West and booked Ibis Bay Beach Resort specifically because both Expedia and the hotel’s own website advertised a private white-sand beach that was ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The actual beach was nothing like what was represented. The shoreline was rocky, there was significant seagrass, and it wasn’t practical to swim. We couldn’t even enjoy the beach as advertised. I raised my concerns with the front desk manager and showed her the advertisements from both Expedia and the hotel’s website, but my concerns were dismissed and no resolution was offered. Had the beach been accurately represented, we would not have booked this property. Very disappointing experience. Not to mentioned how overpriced was the hotel’s restaurant “the stoned crab” save yourself a headache and stay away from this property!

We loved staying here and highly recommended it. Only thing that people might not like is the solo musicians play till 11pm every night. We didn’t mind it since we are not early birds.

The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Duval St and the surrounding sight seeing items and museums. We walked everywhere we wanted to go.
