“Nice hotel for a few nights, breakfast and dinner handy in the restaurant. The decor is starting to show its age, was told a make over is planned.”

“The room was clean but overall hotel needs lots of TLC. Only seen one member of staff. He was receptionist, bartender and possibly waiting on breakfast tables, so he was kept going. For what we paid for overnight stay, we have no complaints. Main thing was the room and en suite were clean. If you want 5 star you need to be prepared to pay a lot more than this hotel charges. Overall it did the job.”

“Great base to stay for entering the highlands. 30 mins from Glasgow. Loch Lomond was great. Town has sea life 10 min walk from hotel to the loch. I would def come and stay again.”

“I stayed here for two nights by myself. The guy who owns the place is friendly and put on a nice continental breakfast (salmon, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and brewed coffee). The bed was comfortable too. The building and furniture are pretty dated though and in need of upgrading. My room door lock was also temperamental. However, that said it was clean overall and the host mentioned he’s actively renovating, which is good to hear as it’s got potential to be a beautiful building...
