“This is real gem, hidden away in the Devon countryside, at the end of long private driveway - with rather too many deep potholes, a danger to your car's tyres and suspension. Once you're there you get get a warm welcome - all of the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are quite spacious. and the beds are very comfortable. “Have known this hotel for a number of years and it was one of the best in the area but now needing a facelift without spoiling its design. Lift inside needs upgrading, fixtures and fittings need upgrading. STAFF were lovely especially Carol in the lounge area, very kind and helpful. Pool and garden area lovely. “All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We ate at the pub and the food was good sized portions and of a good quality. The breakfast was particularly good! The room was quirky and of a good size. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the Hoops Inn.”
