“We had a lovely over night stay in a superior room on the 4th floor - room 420. We used the leisure facilities which were very good. Nice Spacious room. Can’t complain for the price we paid I guess. A bit of constructive criticism for the hotel to bear in mind: 1) please leave more than 2 milk portions. We only had two between us. We would have loved a few more teas and coffees but didn’t want to chase around for milk. 2) the room was warm but when turned on, the aircon was very loud, we...

“Great location, brilliant staff, very quite at night. Good parking alongside hotel. Aldi & Asda 5 min walk away. Breakfast wasn’t available for our stay, so can’t comment but if your looking for somewhere just to rest your had at night then you won’t go far wrong here.”

“Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...

“The staff here are absolutely wonderful creating a real home from home! The food in the restaurant was top notch and the drinks were served with care and attention. There was a lack of any kind of “ale” from the bar (neither bottles or cans) but that was the only missing item really. “Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Flower borders were just lovely! Room (twin deluxe) was spacious, comfortable and clean. One note, we were in room 216 which had view over cafe at back, which was really pretty so not a problem. However, deliveries started unloading at 6am in the morning which wasn't great. The hotel is so close to Beamish working museum, very handy. Few good pubs in the area too.”
