The hotel was welcoming and super comfortable and the spa experience before we headed home on our final morning was a perfect relaxing finish. “Breakfast food was badly cooked and service was poor.. However lunch was excellent in respect of food and service, There was some noise from the bar and lounge area in the late evening which disturbed some of our sleep and we were astounded to see a bible had been thrown on a roof overlooking reception.łmnh”

The TV was not working properly (bad receipt most channels). No soap and shampoo at shower (both empty). No cleanup room and clean towels for 2nd night. We paid for breakfast but was poor. “I stayed for two nights at the end of may and the first thing I liked was easy access well sign posted parking. The house itself is directly opposite the old castle with its impressive mote complete with moorhens and ducks with their baby ducklings. The house itself is a curious mix of antique and modern but is fascinating to look at.
