“The location is remote, peaceful and lovely. It's an old building and full of character with huge, comfortable rooms. All the staff were helpful. Breakfasts were a little limited, but adequate. We didn't enjoy the one dinner we had, but it was good value. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for its excellent value accommodation and location.”

“With so many negative reviews regarding the size of the room, we paid extra for their bigger room. On arrival we received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. The entrance to the rooms was having a mould problem, so an extractor had been installed and reed diffuser to mask the smell. The room itself was comfortable, clean, no damp smells which I feared on entry to the block. “There was nothing we didn't like about the Hotel. The whole hotel has had a massive upgrade / renovation and for the cost of the accommodation, it represents top value. We ate at the restaurant , ( reluctantly ) after reading some less favorable reviews , and decided the reviewers, who had left those reviews must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. “Beautiful property a real home from home. There was everything we needed and it was beautifully clean and well presented. We would definitely stay again and for longer next time.”

“If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location.”
