We had a lovely stay at the lodge. The room was large and had plenty of storage. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains black out so a lovely lie in. We had an evening meal and breakfast the next day. Both meals were great, good portion sizes and value for money. All the staff we encountered were fantastic. Everyone was very chatty and interested in knowing where we were from and what we were in the area to do. We were hiking to some of the waterfalls, night kayaking, and zip lining, and this was a great base for all those. Overall a brilliant stay and we hope to be back again.

Booked here only a couple of days before our stay, we were meeting friends that were in Briton Ferry. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, our room was clean, large and the view of the mountain from the window was gorgeous. The only downside was no where to hang our clothes, although I know they are in the middle of renovations, it’s not a big deal. We had our evening meal in the bar/restaurant which is a lovely place to sit with a range of different seating areas, we both had the lodge burger and it was the best meal we’ve had out for a long time. Local brewery beers on tap and I also had the Porthcawl gin (I didn’t know they had a distillery!) it was really good. We sat outside on the terrace for a drink after our meal which was beautiful with the sun setting. We went for a walk in the morning along the Afan Forest cycle track which you access via a path in front of the hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Definitely recommend
