Simple, clean, friendly, and very reasonably priced given Iceland's high pricing standards. Gudrun (proprietor) is wonderful and warm - you definitely feel the difference between this being a guesthouse vs a hotel.

Great communal spaces

A lovely place to stay, close to centre, loads of character and really nice communal spaces, kitchen and living rooms, bedroom was nice, bit noisy as on the street and walls were very thin, but it’s an older house.

Very confusing directions came the next day in “how too” get into the property. Unsure of parking situation—a person walking on street helped us by pointing out free parking on weekends. The owner kept messaging me that my credit card numbers were wrong and wanted me to “send them”. ??? This is the reason to use Expedia (which I used 4 previous nights) no problem. Owner wasn’t on-site to be able to handle. I’m still trying to figure out what was charged to my card or not?

Lovely and quaint

Lovely place to stay! Quiet and quaint. The host was so kind and welcoming. Perfect place to wind down after a long day of exploring Iceland. Great location, right by Snaps bistro where you can have a fantastic meal!

Best Place in Reykjavik (yes, really)

I loved this place! The owner is very sweet and accommodating. We checked in early and we were able to relax with coffee while our room was being finished up. The hotel is in a great location and the black out curtains are a huge plus!

Gudrun and Fergus own this guesthouse. Very nice. The have shared bathroom ( water is pumped through the by the city from the geothermal pools under the ground so has a sulfur smell), shared kitchen and 2 shared meeting rooms. All very clean. Centrally located to downtown Reykjavik. We are practically the only ones there so we got separate rooms! Their kitty Pumpkin is sweet snd wanders around.

추천하고싶지 않은 곳!!

다운타운 가까운곳에 있으나 낡고 아주 좁아서 작은 가방조차 놓을 공간이 없다. 침대1개만 있고 수납공간도 전혀없다. 방음 1도 안되서 옆방 말소리 발자국소리가 매우 크게 들린다. 건물이 낡아서 많이 삐그덕 거리고 문소리가 크다.주방도 매우 지저분 하다. 또한 호스트가 고양이를 키우고있어 밤에 놀랄수 있다. 5시에 갔었는데 예약 확인 안되서 30분이상 기다리고, 정말정말 추천하지 않는다.

Saapuessamme jouduimme odottamaan 1,5 tuntia, koska huonettamme ei ollut merkitty, kuten varauksessa luki. Kukaan ei myöskään vastannut annettuun puhelinnumeroon. Lopulta löysimme toisen numeron, josta vastattiin. Meidät majoitettiin ilmeisesti perheen omassa käytössä olevaan huoneeseen, jossa oli heidän vaatteitaan ja kassejaan yms. Sänky kahdelle 120 cm. Avainta emme pyynnöstä huolimatta saaneet huoneeseen, joten emme voineet lukita huonetta poissaollessamme. Harmi, sillä sijainti oli hyvä ja yhteiset tilat viihtyisät. Talossa myös kissa, joten ei sovi allergiselle.

Booked for two, clearly stated on the booking but when arrived (when someone eventually greeted us) the room was for one - in amongst significant construction work. The member of staff was very helpful, explained that the owner had meant to, but neglected to cancel and tried to find us alternative accomodation but still, what a mess.
