“What a fabulous friendly place. We came on Friday night when they were having a charity night quiz. What an amazing atmosphere the people were just so lovely. We’ll be back again and hopefully join in this time. The landlady Clair had seen us standing and came over and found us a table. Although we didn’t have tickets for the quiz we felt very much a part of it Thank you”

“This was the best place we stayed in England. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We bought oven ready meals and cooked them. Made a salad. Good times. Lovely garden in back overlooking Pub. It was easy walking to grocery and Pub. ”

“Nice hotel, a short walk from the town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast choice. My only negative point is that the bathroom was tired with noisy plumbing but otherwise I enjoyed my stay.”

“Couldn’t recommend The Tenpus at Charlton Hall more! We stayed in one of the lakeside lodges and had such a lovely relaxing time. We had planned to eat at the Lobster Pot in Bamburgh but lucky for us they were a chef down and couldn’t accommodate us so we ate in the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding. I didn’t catch our servers name but he was so friendly and made us very welcome. Food was delicious. Can’t wait to book again… absolutely loved everything about our visit.”

“In a perfect location for our exploration of Northumberland.The room we had was excellent. Although situated on the busy A1 the room was very quiet as it was at the back of the building.We couldn’t hear any traffic noise at all. The staff were absolutely fantastic.Really friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was excellent and it was also good to be able to pick up sandwiches and snacks from the attached coffee shop for days when we were out exploring. We will definitely stay here again.”
