Reedham station is on the ex-Great Eastern Rly route from Norwich to Lowestoft and is situated roughly mid-way between the two towns. Reedham station has two platforms, one for up (Norwich-bound) traffic and one for down (Yarmouth and Lowestoft) traffic. The majority of passenger services are operated by National Express. Half-a-mile east of the station is Reedham Junction; a single track route branches northeast to Yarmouth and the double track route continues southeast to Lowestoft. The junction is controlled by a traditional lever-frame signal box between the station and the junction itself.

Down traffic over the junction is controlled by the bracketed-post semaphore signal (to the left of the signal box). Note that the signal arm for the Lowestoft route is raised to the clear or 'off' position and the arm for the Yarmouth route is at the horizontal danger position. Boatyard, Reedham Seen from the wherry Hathor; near this point was the boatyard, Daniel Hall's, where the wherry was built in 1905. A sculpture and information board on the quay commemorate Reedham's boatbuilding history. The yacht on the left is a traditional Broads River Cruiser called Wisp, built by Jack Powles of Wroxham in 1934. She is moored outside Friend of all Nations, an old Yarmouth beach lifeboat, built in 1863. [Thank you to Wisp's owner for additional information.]
