Lovely seafront hotel

Great seafront location with on street parking. Lovely deco and huge bedroom and bathroom. Warm welcome when we arrived and a nice traditional breakfast.

Wonderful stay, fully recommend.

I stayed here with my 5 year old, and we both had a wonderful time. The location is great - a short walk through some gorgeous gardens to the sea front, and the walk back up to the town centre / train station takes in a kids playground, another little public park, and a nicely refurbished Victorian Pavilion with a cafe and some very nice public loos. The hosts are lovely, the breakfast is delicious, and the bedrooms have been really nicely refurbished.

From the moment you step inside the Clyffe hotel it feels so welcoming and cosy. I booked the King room and it was definitely worth the extra money. Very spacious with a huge bay window that looks out towards the sea. I could have sat and looked at the view forever. Loved the decor in the bathroom too.

We booked this the day before we arrived and ended up staying a second night. Our host and his wife were great. The rooms were far better than we expected for what we paid. We paid a lot more for less in previous places but thats the luck of the draw when you book late. Would have no qualms about recommending this hotel.

Classic old style seaside resort hotel. Good location. Does breakfast but not dinner etc. probably not changed in 30 years. Nothing to get over excited about but it’s location helps.

It's a great hotel. However, the only drawback, apart from breakfast, there is no food service or a drinks bar. We will certainly return as we were very comfortable and the seaview room was perfect.

Booked a stay here to celebrate my husbands Birthday. The hotel was extremely clean , beautiful decorated . There is a lift which was a bonus as my husband has a disability and finds stairs difficult . Our bedroom and bathroom were vey roomy . Breakfast was great .

Stunning view, excellent hosts

What a perfect hotel - stunning view, super clean, the friendliest of owners, peaceful nights sleep. Being able to see the sea whilst being in bed is luxury. We’ll be back very soon.
