Vacations Close To Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts

The place was clean. No TV. Breakfast choose coffee/tea and packaged froze n muffins. Great place if you just looking for a clean space to sleep. If you are looking for that little extra find somewhere else

The lobby area is nice and inviting, but our room felt a little run down. The carpet was frayed in high traffic areas, there was paint peeling in one area of the ceiling, and our room had 4 light bulbs that were out. There was no bar soap in the bathroom and 2 out of 3 dispensers in the shower did not work. Even so, Christy in guest services was tireless in her efforts to correct those issues and make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was good, and exceeded our expectations.

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT for the MOST important thing. The beds were so hard. This is what sleeping on concrete would be like I imagine. Some people like extra firm mattresses, however I don’t happen to be one.

It would have been nice to know that construction was being done before we booked. Also the first floor smelled like pot. The bed and pillow however were great

The mini suite was perfect for a longer stay. Spacious, comfortable. Like a studio apartment. Great choice.

The hotel was clean overall except when my daughter ran the shower, a couple bugs crawled out of the drain. The shower is also not very powerful and the fiberglass tub sounds like it is cracking. The hotel is a non-smoking hotel but smelled like cigarettes in the hallway. When I went to the front desk the clerk had her back turned towards me in the back room and when I said, "Excuse me," she said, "yes," twice without turning around. I didn't want to speak out loud that we needed a plunger because the toilet was clogged. She got up and I could see she was playing a game on the computer so that was why she didn't turn around. She got up and walked me to the utility room where I am probably not supposed to go in for me to choose my own plunger like she didn't want to touch it. She said I could wait for maintenance in the morning and I said someone would need to use the bathroom before then. Then the next morning I walked my family out to the car for them to go on to their next destination and I was going to finish getting ready to go to mine and I was already locked out of my room. When we walked out the housekeeper was in the hallway and I said out loud on purpose to my family that I'm going to come back and finish getting ready and not leaving yet. I still had like 2 hours before checkout and already locked out. The housekeeper opened the door for me. Before going back to my room I was going to pick up a bagel and juice and food was already removed few minutes before 9.
