“The staff were exceptionally helpful. The food was excellent. The Lodge itself where you stay needs some tlc on the outside, although the rooms themselves were good and well maintained, if a little dated. The stairs down to the room where I was weren't that great and the entrance to the steps was blocked by a car, so had to squeeze by. A great place. The golf looked good and the swimming pool was excellent although the stairs down were very slippery.”

“The hotel is old fashioned which was not a problem in itself. However, it could be better adapted to guests' needs. There is no air conditioning or even a fan, which makes the rooms very uncomfortable during hot weather. The breakfast is very limited and lacks variety. During our three-day stay, with three guests in the room, only one small bar of soap was provided. There was no hand towel, and the bed linen was not changed throughout our stay.
