If hygiene is something you really enjoy, then don't stay here. If you are not to fussy it is fine. Great location. The TV works and it is very cheap.

2 star Hotel for a reason.

Wasn't expecting much from a 2⭐️ hotel, as only needed a room for the night. Shower was leaking slightly, bathroom floor was wet in front of the shower enclosure, toilet seat was broken, heated taul rail was old and dirty. Room windows and tv screen were very dirty. One of the beds wobbled side to side.

We stayed in a seaview room for 2 nights although in august due to the circus you only get partial seaview. Nice budget hotel beds were comfortable small shower and toilet room. General hotel area was clean, shower was a bit mouldy in places, lots of dust down side of bed. The hotel needs to invest in new bedding sadly pillows smelt of stale sweat. Other wise room was great for budget price just what we were looking for/needed. Stone throw from beach with crossing outside. 5min drive from zoo, close to trainstation. Solomon the host a lovely man nothing was to much trouble for him. Sorted us for parking late afternoon on second day as side street full does cost £7 which is quite expensive but on par for the area. Would stay again hust bring own pillow

Property just across the road from sea easy access, parking which is a big help. Friendly staff very helpful. Overall our experience was good all round. We will book again when visiting Paignton.

We didn’t even stay in the hotel that we’d paid for, the carpets were filthy, no meals to eat in hotel,charged us for parking and it said it was for free. Bed linen was fiilfy, shower didn’t work properly, wanted to get another hotel but we didn’t want to leave the room. Didn’t go out to get food as we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to get back in and fry isn’t feel it was safe enough to leave our luggage

Hotel needs update

Hotel really needs updating and no food service available also had to pay for on site car parking. Bed clean. Bathroom clean and a good shower. Excellent manager-host. Could hear any noise from another room. Good value for money. Good location

This property is old but the location is great. If you don’t mind sleeping on a lumpy bed and a shower that only runs at scorching then it’s worth it for the price. It was fairly quiet and fairly clean but everything is old, there were loose power cables in my room and a tv but no remote. It did include breakfast though which was good given the price.

Hotel bonair

The staff at the hotel were very friendly, the hotel was clean, slightly disappointing to have no facilities open, no food on service or bar open. All of these were available but just not in use. Despite this though I would highly recommend the hotel. The only negative from us is that we had to pay £10 a night car parking which was not mentioned anywhere on booking.

0/10 worst hotel I have ever stayed at. STAY AWAY.

0/10, worst hotel (if you can call it that) not cleaned at all (food on the floor, dirty dishes in the room, bin full of rubbish and more), horrible smell when walking in, no staff to be seen anywhere, other people we booking other hotels when we arrived. no toilet seat, no curtains on one of the windows. Just a mess and a place I will never stay again. I would recommend removing this hotel ASAP.

Not a bad stay, we can see they are trying to improve the hotel and it’s been cleaned in areas. The negative the pillows are somewhat questionable !! Take your own as they are not nice. They could do with a lamp in the room and better heating as we stayed in February and the hearting was off. They only put it on as we got there but was still cold in the room. The bathroom shower could do with being cleaned better or a new shower head as it was not the best. For a double room it was very small. Must a bed large furniture I would say too large for the room and no chairs to sit on.

Very bad experience the hotel is under construction to be able to check in we have to wait for some time because there are no receptionists. The room is old, the decoration is horrible, it is impossible to sleep on the mattress, the springs are all broken, it seems that we are sleeping on top of stones.

Apparently the hotel has new owners and will be undergoing full refurbishment. It certainly needs it. The bar and restaurant were closed. The single room was dirty. There were hairs in the bed, shower and on the toilet. The toilet didn't look as if it had been cleaned. There was mould on the bottom of the glass on the sink. Couldn't get the shower to work at all.

Great location and value for money

The advert said a 'no frills' hotel so we weren't expecting top notch, but the location and price were excellent! When we arrived there was scaffolding up all around the front which did obscure the balcony, but there was no noise or anything from building work. It's a renovation work in progress but wasn't really tatty or tired, and will be great (and much more expensive) when finished. There was some dust in communal areas but the room was fine and it was all perfectly OK. We hadn't expected breakfast so the cold, help yourself breakfast was an added bonus, as was the free on-site car parking (although it was first come first served). The outside areas were a bit untidy and there was some rubbish - but not surprising with the scaffolding. The staff were helpful and everything worked - overall we were very happy!

There was nothing unique about this property, will never stay there again, absolute disgusting place to stay, nobody at the check in desk, had to ring a number left at the desk, no towels, no aircon working due to wires cut, had to move a dirty stained chair near the plug socket so i could plug in the kettle, dust everywhere, holes in the wall, no tv remote. balcony door left unlocked, no key for that door, bar downstairs not open, one person was told he had to stay there until the local council found him another place to stay, another couple had been waiting a hour to check in, i have checked other reviews. The Bonair Hotel is on my list of not to stay there again.

This "hotel" is disgusting. The room that myself and my 7 year old daughter were designated was unsafe, mouldy, dirty and falling apart. Drawers were broken, the curtains hanging off, wires coming out of the walls and mould in the "en suite". The hotel is unmanned so calling the number provided, i complained and was put into the hotel nextdoor 'The Cambria'. I was promised a deluxe double room with sea views. The light was not working, the yale lock was hanging off the door and there was blood stains in the carpet. My daughter was terrified as the "manager" was very intimidating, asking her multiple questions whilst she was clearly upset, crying and telling me she was scared. My daughter is now terrified of staying in hotels again and actually had a nightmare the following night whilst in her own bed at home. I have complained, with pictures and have requested a full refund.
