“Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. “We could not fault this small hotel - top marks!”

This place has a lovely traditional pub layout, fantastic food with plenty of choice, all staff super friendly and the rooms were on point. WiFi great throughout the property. Our room rate included breakfast, a lovely adequate selection which included self help items and order of the menu for hot. We will be definitely staying again when visiting the northern...

“Good location and friendly staff”

“Lovely spacious place, very clean, nice staff, well priced, lovely room. My only gripe would be no curtain in the bathroom window, which looks into houses, but overall we liked it.”

“Perfect staying with delicious food, staff are very friendly and helpful, 15 minutes walk to the beach, spacious parking”
