Small, friendly and quaint. No rushing of any type. Very relaxing and carefree.

Nice beach, not crowded, was able to ger a good spot each day we went. Businesses are limited, if you are like our family and have picky eaters only wanting to eat at national food chain restaurants, there are a few, but not as many as a larger town.

Good for adults; not much to do for kids other than the beach.

I love Oak Island and have been going here since I was a child in the early 1960's. It is quiet and beautiful and not much ocean front development.
