Beautiful room, looks brand new and was nicely appointed with very nice furniture. The fridge was retro and cute, bed was very comfortable. Some dustier floors than I would have liked but sometimes this is to be expected in beachy environments. This was nothing major, overall the room was lovely and comfortable and I would recommend this as a great place to stay.

This inn is quaint and cozy. The interior furnishings appear to be handcrafted and done well. The beach is easy to walk to and the local shops and restaurants are close. We had a great little stay here. Highly recommend this!

This was a last minute trip for a night- the customer service was top notch! The room was perfect for us as a family of 4. The pool was great as well! Very close to great restaurants and shops as well as close enough walk to the beach!

The room was very clean, although the floor was a little sandy. The bed was extremely confortable! The mini fridge kept my food and drinks ice cold and the ac kept the room nice and cool. The walls were a little thin and being off a busy thoroughfare, I could hear some traffic noise but it wasn't too bad. The property was well maintained and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied and would definitely stay again.

Renovated and VERY clean!

Great experience at the Anchor Inn Motel. It appears to have been recently updated. We were sent the access code ahead of time so getting into the room was super easy. As soon as I opened the door, I noticed that the room smelled "clean" - not like cleaners or chemicals, but just new and clean. Everything was actually very clean and neat in the room. The bed was also super comfy, which I very rarely say about hotels/motels. Five stars from us and we would definitely stay again!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. I booked two rooms and needed them to be adjoining. When I arrived, (by no fault of the property) the rooms were not adjoined. I contacted the staff on premises and she arranged for my rooms to be adjoined without second question. We even got to check in early. Check in was easy, check out was easy, the location is excellent and next time I stay in Oak Island, it will be here.

We loved this place. The check in was so easy. The property was clean . Two thing I wish was different. 1. Please leave us four big towels not two. Everyone one know women need three towels after they shower. 1, please move the tv to the wall in front of the bed. We would like to watch it while in bed . Now everything else was awesome. We are actually going to come back this summer.

Clean and simple. Rooms had wooden floors which is good at the beach, Beds were clean and comfortable. There is a small fridge/freezer that worked well, microwave and small coffee maker. Plenty of towels that were thick and fluffy. TV with streaming platforms. No room key needed - uses key code sent to your phone at check-in. Would be nice to have some hooks on the wall for hanging beach stuff, and would be nice to have an ice machine on premises. Otherwise great! Bit of a walk to the beach - about 4 blocks, would be good to have a wagon to carry your things. Pet friendly too. Would stay here again.
