“Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.”

“The bathroom was in a poor start of repair. The side bath panel was water damaged and obviously been treated and then left Showing further damage and falling apart. The bathroom mirror required changing with various black marks across it. The thermostatic controls were really stiff and couldn’t be fully used for both hot and cold. “Room was clean with a modern bathroom and comfortable. We didn't spend time in the hotel bar or restaurant but did have a drink outside where there were some tables for diners. Service was fine, but when we got up to leave the next morning the reception and bar area were all locked up (8:30am). In the end I had to call the hotel to find out how to check out and was told to just leave the key in the room and go.
