Hostales en Normanton on Trent

“Cosy rooms above a quaint pub in the centre of Retford. The room itself was comfy and clean with a huge bed, nice selection of mini-toiletries and refreshments, and a convenient code-based smart lock on the door. The staff were very friendly and welcoming on check-in. Check-out is self-organised and very easy. It was a little noisy until around midnight, but since I was staying above a pub on a Saturday night, that's only to be expected. There is a small shared kitchen space near the rooms...

“Friendly staff, good pub attached with good food. Breakfast was tasty but did take a while to arrive (30mins). Room was clean, but tired and in need of some repairs (bathroom doorframe and main light fittings). Good place for an overnight stop.”

“Please train your bar staff in the correct way to prepare pour and use the correct glass for the beverage.A j20 in a pint glass Guinness in a cider pint and spirits and mixers in half pint glasses is not good .Your GM or bar manager is letting the hotel down its basic bar tending I have 32 years experience in hospitality it didn't look good .The staff do their best but the hotel looks tired and in need of investment gardens are untidy paintwork peeling it's a shame for such a great location .Try...

“It is NOT a hotel. Please consider removing it from your lists.”

“Excellent stay”

“The room (number 5) was spacious enough, nice and quiet generally. Parts of the carpet were sticky and stained and there was a huge crack in the outside of the bath which looked like someone had booted it. I reported this on the 1st night and they said they would have it looked at but it's unknown if anyone did. Also had to go request more toilet roll as they seemed to think 1 already-started roll was going to do 3 of us for a full weekend. Didn't really interact with anyone outside of these...

“Room was clean, bed was comfy, parking was easy and checking in was simple. Would happily stay again.”

“Hotel de 3 estrellas muy justo. Precio correcto pero muy viejo”

“Excellent location very close to Lincoln Cathedral.”

“What a gem Creston Villa is! Thanks to Anna and Iain who made our stay a real home from home. From the breakfast with lots of choice, including so many jams, marmalades and relishes to homemade cookies to take with us for a later treat. We loved everything and we didn’t need to know anything about Lincoln before our trip, we could’ve learned it all at breakfast! Great location, easy walk into town or use the local bus service from just outside the property. Highly recommend. Thank you x”

“Double room was extremely small, difficult for two people to stand in the bathroom at the same time. Only one of the windows opened and when it was open there was a strong smell of Indian food being cooked which sullied all our clothing. It was shabby to say the least.”
