“Staff were excellent and food very good, lovely atmosphere, needing a lot of tlc in process of changing owners. Quiet area although another small town about 5 miles away with more facilities. Parking beside property on A68. Morpeth and Hexham nearby.”

“Great base for the northumberland coast,we visited bamburgh which has lots of history,we can recommend the grace darling museum and the church .Also Alnwick has a fantastic castle,( harry potter was filmed there.) The Amble inn had a great atmosphere we were lucky,band played on the friday we arrived .they played great music.And the meal we booked was lovely.well done to all the staff we were made very welcome and nothing was to much trouble. Plenty of free parking aswell.”

“I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. “Super clean and comfortable room. The bed was incredibly comfortable. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the huge selection available for breakfast. A really great hotel and worth every penny”

“This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!”
