“I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. “The hotel is part of the service area on the A1 but, unlike most such hotels, it offers good food as well as comfortable accommodation. We were impressed with the welcome we received - and our dog was happy with the positive attention he received! The chap on reception was able to recommend a good parking spot in Bamburgh, where we were keen to take the dog for a long walk! All in all, a good place to stop!”

“Tha staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel is well positioned for access to A1 and local bus route to Town. The room was perfect with plenty of room and an extra large bed. We had dinner in the hotel there was plenty of choice and all freshly cooked, excellent.”

“Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me”

“Beautiful hotel and grounds We had a lovely relaxing two night stay in the comfort cottage. Spa was lovely and clean. The food was amazing, great breakfast and dinner and not badly priced at all. My only negative was I ordered a bottle of wine and chocolates to be in the room on arrival and this was missed. However they did offer the bring in the second day but we didn't bother as we had already had wine in the bar on our arrival.”

El restaurante sirve comida de calidad y las raciones son enormes. Nos atendieron estupendamente. La zona es preciosa. Esta vez nuestra estancia tuvo que ser corta pero esperamos volver para disfrutar más tiempo del lugar. ”
