“The grounds are really lovely. The sauna was nice but the pool was far too busy and looked unclean. I did not go into it. Breakfast was fresh coffee was lovely and hot. Evening meals were cold and had to send it back a few times. Also they got it wrong. But it was replaced as soon as it was mentioned. “Location was perfect for Tamworth Town, as soon as I arrive quite late in the evening I was greeted by a friendly smile and the WIFI code was given to me as a priority, perfect no one want to hunt or ask for the code. Keys were explained for access, I decided to have a pint or two before bed, the locals in the bar were extremely friendly and included me in their conversations, made me feel very welcome. “Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend.”

“The hotel is in a fabulous picturesque setting. Afternoon tea and breakfast very nice. Didn’t have evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall decor just needs slightly updating but think they’re on it. Would definitely stay again and recommend”
