About a 45 minute drive to Llangollen which was a lovely place to visit. “Lovely property, great decor. In a beautiful spot next to the River Dee. Great seeing various boats passing by. Loved sitting out on the patio. The inside of the house has everything you could possibly need. The owner, Chris, keeps in touch to make sure you are happy with everything. Lots of lovely walks nearby, miniature railway in the park at the end of the road. Short walk into Chester. We would definitely like to go back. ”

“I stayed for two nights at the end of may and the first thing I liked was easy access well sign posted parking. The house itself is directly opposite the old castle with its impressive mote complete with moorhens and ducks with their baby ducklings. “Overall, not a terrible stay, but I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again. The biggest issue was the check-in process. It was more complicated than expected, and I only found out at the last minute that I had to pay a deposit before I could receive the access code. This is something I've never experienced with a hotel before, so it was a bit frustrating. Once I was in, the stay itself was fine, but the check-in experience left a poor first impression.”
