“We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!”

“The public rooms are modern and clean. Plenty of onsite parking at £4. The classic room we had was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom door had seen better days but otherwise the bathroom was ok except for the cheap hand wash/gel. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast, minimal choice of cold items, only processed sliced bread for toast. The hot food was a decent choice but there were no eggs out. The waitress said 2 minutes, they came out after asking for a second time around 10 minutes...
