“Great little find, staff were super helpful. There was parking at the hotel, albeit only a few spaces, room was quiet and clean. I can’t believe it was so cheap for one night and in a great location for Shrewsbury, only a 10 min walk over the bridge. I would say the bed wasn’t super comfortable and the pillows were not to my liking. Due to the hot weather the room wasn’t that well ventilated but a fan was provided which was welcome. “We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again.”

“The staff were fabulous, both leading up to our stay when they helped me with some surprises for my friend, and during our stay when nothing was too much trouble! I was able to order an extra package of fizz and flowers, which were placed in one of our rooms upon arrival, together with the banner that I sent ahead. THANKS”
