“Great location about 10 minutes drive into the City. Large, clean room with tea, coffee etc and fresh milk in fridge & bottled water too. Quirky room as part of an old pub so floors a little uneven and steepish staircase to get to rooms, but didn’t detract from the stay. Breakfast was delicious and staff all extremely friendly & helpful. As it’s a pub, you are obviously aware of noises from the pub during the day and evening but as soon as it closes, it’s very quiet.”

“Comfortable accommodation with friendly professional staff.”

“Having arrived late and leaving early. I have to say the staff were welcoming and helpful upon arrival. A few little things to note. Breakfast doesn't start until 8am, not helpful if your need to start your day any earlier. Staying in room five (stables area). I found the room a little dated (older TV) but the plumbing noise from every time my neighbours washed their hands was very evident. It settled down once everyone went to bed for the evening. “A polite request for a room change was no bother to the manager who immediately sorted a more suitable room and provided excellent customer service throughout our stay.”

“Top quality”

“Excellant breakfast, accommodation adequate for a short stay”

“Great value for money and great location. Amazing breakfast menu too and all very tasty. Would stay again.”

“Loved the position of the rooms, overlooking the hills. No stairs. Large facilities. Offload parking, no charge. Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble Ate at the pub, good selection of pub food and drinks. Would have liked complimentary shower gel.”

“Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”
