“We only stayed one night, so didn’t really have time to use e.g the bar & didn’t have dinner there. But that said, we were able to park - it was an extra cost of £6 not included in the booking cost. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a tad tired, with a bit of crack in the top of bath rim; but it was perfectly usable. Breakfast was nice, the lady serving was informative and friendly. The gentleman on reception was again informative and pleasant. The hotel is well placed...

“Lovely friendly staff, always remembering that I stayed before. We get the room we have requested. We order a vegetarian roast which is outstanding, food delicious and hot. Plenty of parking. Depending where the room is you can hear the traffic going past in the evening & mornings but overall alovely stay. That's why we keep going back and also you have a choice of breakfast part of the deal.”

“The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the property was very good, within easy walking distance of the centre of Norwich so no need to take the car. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is a self-service buffet - cereals and bread for toast are provided and there is orange juice, butter, milk, jam etc. in a small fridge. Microwaveable porridge was also available, however, there were no kitchen scales so it would have been difficult to measure out the correct...

“Convenient access if traveling to and from nearby airports. Rooms are basic, but absolutely no airflow, even with a fan, and very difficult to sleep when the room is so hot. In general, this is feedback for many hotels that don’t have air-conditioning and it will be an health and safetyissue that is going to need to be addressed sooner than later.”

“Had a lovely stay at this hotel, room was lovely, clean and everything we needed, continental breakfast had plenty of cereal to chose from, yoghurts, cereal bars, toast, fruit, lots of choices of drinks. “Good bar staff, nice food, OK breakfast if you're OK with a buffet style cooked breakfast where things are kept lukewarm on a tray (doesn't work with fried eggs). Little jugs four milk for the table to put into coffee or tea would be a good idea, save having to get up and get the milk from the buffet every time you top up. Very nice room, nice shower. Excellent friendly service at reception very helpful - thanks! Dog friendly (and not a stupid charge either)!”

“I am somewhat biased, as this is where my dog and I prefer to stay on our fairly frequent visits to this lovely part of our country - I'd wholeheartedly recommend it for their hospitality, their food, the excellent breakfasts, some proper beer on tap, comfortable rooms (I've tried three of the six to date, all very comfortable, each with it's own character). I'd recommend their Wednesday wings and Sunday carvery in particular. I won't say more this time, as I suspect I'll have more to say next...
