Vacations Close To Monteverde at Oldstone

Perfect! Def recommend

The staff is incredible, and the hotel is very lovely and centrally located; everything was exactly as it appears in the photos.

El lobby y áreas comunes del hotel estaban sucias y descuidadas. El aire acondicionado del cuarto muy ruidoso. Guardaron nuestras maletas antes del check in en un cuarto lleno de escombros y polvo.

The hotel’s location is great, but the property is in need of renovations! The room was clean, but it had a strange smell. The beds were comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Felt safe and had a supermarket just across the street. The room was spacious and convenient, especially since I was traveling with my three kids. Overall, the location and staff were definite highlights, but the hotel could really benefit from some much-needed updates.

Before my stay, the hotel processed a charge I did not expect based on my booking. I emailed asking for the General Manager, and a reservations agent replied without addressing my concern. At check-in, the front desk said it was not something she could help with. No one with authority ever responded. I was told at check-in I’d receive a text for contacting the front desk. It never came, and there is no phone in the room. The next morning the front desk was empty, with the lights and computer off. Entry at night is by door code. One evening a loud fight broke out in a neighboring room, and the hotel’s listed number reached someone off-site who didn’t know whether anyone was on the property. No one called back, and I ended up contacting 311, who sent police. The room had a sticky spill on the floor, a coffee maker that shook and made strange noises until I unplugged it, no shower shelf for toiletries, and outlets you have to get on the floor to reach. Towels were thin and rough. I expected basic follow-through and a way to reach staff. Don’t count on anyone being at the front desk.

It is definitely older, Only 1 elevator was working, The fan was not working in the bathroom. The floors in the rooms need replacing as the vinyl flooring was peeling up. The bedding and heating was fine. But definitely not worth the 732.00 per night I paid.
