Vacations Close To Mill Race Historical Village

Excellent stay at the Frederick Stearns hotel in Detroit. Beautiful renovation with free parking. Large suite style room and bathroom. Very close to Riverfront and the downtown.

The room was awful! The ac had to be turned all the way to 60 just to make room comfortable as it seemed to barely work, fridge didn’t work, bathroom was not throughly cleaned and only provided towels for 1 person. The room was tiny could hear neighbors from both sides and staff really wasn’t friendly. Property needs some upkeep noticed several bowed and swollen ceiling tiles in hallways. The curtain in our room had holes in it. The toilet was not secured to floor so moved every time you sat down and got up, made an awful noise when flushed. The room itself was very small and nothing at all was inviting.

Staff was amazing! Very responsive and respectful. However, the building needs maintenance. There was heavy rains and my room was leaking. In addition to that, I had to switch room twice since the AC wasn’t working and this was honestly very exhausting especially after coming after a long flight and simply ready to rest. Other than this, I would say I had an okay stay.
