“This is an institution but honestly I'd rather have a drink here and sleep elsewhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was mainly that because of the awesome pub it is noisy until pretty late. More from people on the street going in an out than the pub itself. It was pretty warm so I needed to leave the window open for some air. It is in the middle of town and safe and clean though, only the partiers were a problem but I was there on a Friday night.”

“Lovely quirky old building. Room & facilities were fine, a bit dated, but adequate. Staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful Dinner was amazing & staff knowledge of wines was excellent - really enhanced our meal”
