The staff are so helpful and friendly the Duoro is magnificent and the farmhouse is picturesque. We had a brilliant wine tour with Pedro and a fabulous massage the food was amazing I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, it’s a must do in my opinion.

Our stay at the Quinta de S. Bernardo was incredible. The grounds and hotel are gorgeous, the setting is picturesque and very peaceful. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They went out of their way to provide us with helpful recommendations, set up a custom winery tour and made some amazing meals. My husband and I did not want to leave and can only hope we'll be able to visit again one day. It was magical!

Five stars is simply not enough for this property. The design and location are perfect to immerse yourself in Duoro wines. Every single aspect of the experience they offer is beautiful, well thought out, and white glove. Spectacular stay with great wine and amazing food if you are looking for a romantic boutique wine get away this is a must.

We had an amazing time!!! On our first night we enjoyed the chef’s table and it was one of the best meals we have had!! The wine and courses were perfect and we love Miguel. We also were treated with a wine tour at a nearby vineyard with an authentic lunch with tasting. It was absolutely perfect each and every member of the team there was truly special. We would come back and stay again there is not one thing that wasn’t absolutely wonderful.

Beautiful property! The staff is amazing and spoiled us. It was difficult to come back to reality. It’s secluded, this is a good place to rest and get away from the daily grind. We stayed in Room 3 with a mini pool on the balcony. It could use a little more privacy. Also, we stayed over a holiday weekend in Portugal and several families with young children came. It was nice but got loud.

Our stay at Quinta de San Bernardo was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. The attention to detail of the staff is top notch and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The food is excellent and they make a concerted effort to minimize waste while maintaining inventive and delicious dishes. You can certainly run up quite the tab, as everything is pretty expensive compared to elsewhere in Portugal and the property is pretty remote, but I would still say it was absolutely worth it.

Absolutely incredible views. I have never stayed at any hotel where the staff was so attentive as this Quinta. Rooms are really nice and we had a terrace with a hot tub overlooking the river. Rita’s special drink was amazing and she is the best. Ricardo can be booked to tour different vineyards and he is a joy to spend time with showing you the area. Book a boat tour with Rubin to see the vineyards from a different perspective. Joe is there to help with whatever you need with a great smile and sometimes a wink. Highly recommend a stay.
