“This was a great location for me to visit Galashiels. Its a lovely old manse building with nice clean big rooms and comfy beds. The owners of the guest house were on site, very friendly and welcoming. I had a sound night's sleep and woke to a lovely cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. I couldn't fault my stay. There is plenty parking but lots of free street parking nearby anyway so no issues there. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.”

Our booking included breakfast and we assumed this would be in the main hotel; however this was not the case and instead it was based around a credit or voucher to be used in the on-site market shop where the choice was limited. Not clear at all on the Expedia site. The hotel staff were helpful and did allow us to take breakfast in the main hotel without an additional charge in view of the...
