Vacations Close To Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias

DO NOT STAY HERE. If you want an accurate assessment look at the reviews for Formosa Inn, as it is the same management. The property was nice on the outside with fruit trees around. That is about where the nice things stop. The first room we were given had a filthy rug, pee stains around the toilet, smelled bad, and most importantly did not have a functioning AC. After complaining to the manager multiple times we were finally given a replacement room with a downgrade. However, the AC in the new downgraded room was even worse, and over the course of the night actually HEATED up while the temp outside DROPPED. The room inside was 79F while outside was 73F. When I talked to the management again I was told verbatim “what do you want me to do?”. Having to explain to the management I needed a functioning AC or a refund was beyond unprofessional. He refused a refund saying that because they already gave us a replacement room they cannot issue a refund. It was so hot in the room that me and my wife needed up checking out in the middle of the night and sleeping in the car because it was cooler.

I like coming to this hotel everybody is friendly it's in a good location it's clean the up for breakfast in the morning a positive on this trip was that I was able to bring my dog and they even gave her little treats when we got there our room was clean comfortable and quiet

Rooms was comfortable, breakfast was great, great little setup and the parking was accessible.
