We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room.
The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival. We were told that the heating would be turned on, but unfortunately the radiator remained cold throughout the entire night. As a result, the room never warmed up.
Due to the lack of heating, we were extremely cold and unable to sleep so we packed up and left before 7am, having effectively been unable to make use of the accommodation. While the room itself was of good quality, the failure of the heating meant our stay fell well below a reasonable standard, and represents a disappointing service failure.
This was raised with the property but they refused to acknowledge there was an issue.
